Why adoption

Brant and I were married in 2004 and had Izak in 2006. We both grew up in families of 7, and loved it so we planned on having a big family of our own but one thing we have learned over the years is that things don't always work out as planned. About a year after Izak was born, we started trying for more children. After 4 years of expensive and exhausting infertility testing and treatments, we decided that there had to be another way to build our family. We knew that there were more children for us somewhere, we just had to find them. We looked into adoption and felt very strongly then, as we do now, that adoption was the path for us so we filled out all the papers and waited and waited and waited until...

About a year and a half later we found our little Abby. And let me tell you, she was totally worth the wait! Her story is a little different than most. She was 15 months old when she joined our family so we thought it would be a pretty difficult transition for her but to our surprise, she settled in with more ease and comfort than we could have dreamed of. She is incredibly loving and affectionate and she has a ton of personalty so it didn't take long before she had us all wrapped around her little finger. We are honestly in awe every day of how well she fits into our family. She was like a missing piece of the puzzle and it feels like she's always been a part of us.

Abby's birth mom lives here in the valley and we see her as much as we can. We are so incredibly grateful for the decision she made to share Abby with us. We feel like the luckiest parents in the world and hold tremendous respect for her and for the sacrifice she made to give Abby a better life. Abby knows and loves her and so do we. She has become a part of our family and we hope our relationship with her will continue to grow.

We know this is probably one of the hardest decisions you will ever have to make and we hope that you will be guided in finding the right family for your baby. Adoption has been one of the most incredible experiences of our lives and we have learned things during this journey and become people we wouldn't have become any other way.

Our hope for you is that you can find peace and solace at this time of your life and feel of God's love for you and your baby.

If you would like to get to know us more or have any questions about us, we would love to answer your questions and get to know you too!

Love,

Brant and Kristen
