Kristen was meant to be a mother. I don't know how else to say it. If you ask anyone that knows her they would say that she is selfless and constantly thinking of others. That is the best trait that a mother could have. While I tend to think more about me and how I can have fun, Kristen is busy thinking about what she can do to make Izak, Abby and I happy. She's always finding new fun places to take Izak to explore and learn about the world around him. We are all so blessed to have her in our lives.When she isn't busy being an awesome mom and wife, she loves doing volunteer work, dancing, running, and shopping with her friends. She can out-shop anyone I know.

I have a few loves in my life... first of all my family- that kind of goes without saying. When I was was a little girl I "played house". Today I live it. Like a lot of little girls, I always dreamed of falling in love, getting married, being a mother and spending my days chasing kids, baking cookies, and dancing in the kitchen...in that order.

I've always had a passion for food and love spending time in the kitchen exploring new flavors and creating delicious new eats and treats. Right now it's fall and my kitchen if full of canned peaches, juice, salsa and jams. I know you can buy them at the store but the're just not the same.

I love entertaining and feeding people. I have so many memories in the kitchen with my Mother growing up and I hope to pass them on to my children.

I like to run. I am not fast. I never win races, but I love the freedom and solitude that I feel when I am outside running.
I like people. I like to be involved in a good cause- I have been blessed to be able to volunteer with some great organizations that have brought me a lot of happiness and helped me to reach out to others in need. These experiences have blessed my life a thousand times over.

I love spending time with good friends and family relaxing and enjoying life. My favorite place to visit is the beach...any beach. Ever since I was a little girl I have loved the beach, warm or cold, I love to watch the waves and feel the sand in my toes. My boys (Brant and Izak) are fish and Abby is obsessed with sand castles and sea shells so it's an easy pick for vacations.

I was born in and raised in Washington with three crazy brothers and one sister. I am all still very close with even though we're spread out over a few states now. I would consider myself a pretty outgoing, generally optimistic person although I wasn't always this way. I was a super shy kid.

My favorite color is green. I like a pretty wide range of music, Fiest and Stevie Nicks are a couple favs but it just depends on my mood. I like anything I can dance to. I like chick flicks as long as they're not too extreme, Comedy, and Artsy movies that make me cry. My favorite TV shows are Parenthood, Parks and Rec and the Mindy Project. I love a good book and I've also developed a new love for gardening. I know this makes me sound super old, but there's just something about getting my hands in the dirt and creating something beautiful that is so satisfying. That and I get a sweet tan with all the time I spend out there lol. I always have some kind of home project going on and I love watching home makeover shows on HGTV.

That's pretty much me in a nut shell. My husband would add that an honest portrayal of me would include shopping. Though I hardly find it one of my redeeming qualities... I like to shop.
